Christmas Lights You Never Have to Hang Again

Every November, it’s the same routine. Drag out the bins, test the strands, hunt for the dead bulb, climb the ladder in the cold and clip it all to the gutters. Then do it again in reverse in January. Permanent Christmas lights end that routine for good.

The lights live in a slim track under your eave all year. When the season starts, you open the app and choose your look. Classic warm white, old-fashioned multicolor, red and green, or a gentle animation for Christmas Eve: it’s all saved as scenes you can switch between in seconds.

Christmas looks you can run

  • Classic warm white, from a dedicated 2800K warm-white LED in every light
  • Old-fashioned multicolor, for the big-bulb look you grew up with
  • Red and green, steady or alternating
  • Icy white and blue for a winter look that carries into January
  • Gentle animations and chases for the nights that call for a show

Beat the first snow

Toledo’s first measurable snow usually lands around Thanksgiving week, and January is the snowiest month, averaging about a foot of snow. Hanging lights in that weather is miserable, and taking them down in January is worse. With permanent lights, the work is done once, on a dry day, by a crew that does it for a living.

Then it keeps working

Seasonal lights go back in the bin in January. Permanent lights switch to a soft warm white for everyday curb appeal, then orange for Halloween, red, white and blue for the Fourth and team colors on game day. One install covers every holiday on the calendar.

Book early for Christmas

Install dates before Thanksgiving go first. The sooner you get a quote, the better your chances of being lit for the first weekend of the season. And once your system is in, you never have to think about timing again.

The lighting system

What Goes on Your Roofline

Every install uses the same professional-grade RGBW system, built for year-round outdoor use.

Full color plus true warm white

Every light is RGBW: red, green and blue for any color, plus a dedicated warm-white LED for a real 2800K glow instead of a tinted mix.

Hidden by day

A slim aluminum track tucked under the eave, powder-coated to match your trim. Most people never notice it until the lights come on.

Control it from your phone

A free app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with scenes, schedules and timers. Four independent zones let each side of the house do its own thing.

Perfect peaks

Pre-built peak pieces matched to your roof pitch put a light dead center at every apex, so both sides of each gable mirror each other.

Built for Toledo winters

LEDs sealed in UV-stabilized polyurethane and factory-sealed waterproof connectors. No splices on your roof for water to find.

Safe, low-voltage power

Plugs into an exterior outlet. From the control box out, everything runs on 24V DC, with a UL-certified power supply and built-in surge protection.

Questions

Permanent Christmas Lights FAQ

When should I book if I want lights for Christmas?

As early as you can. Install dates before Thanksgiving go first, and Toledo’s first measurable snow usually shows up around Thanksgiving week. The good news: once your system is in, you never have to think about timing again.

How much do permanent lights cost?

Every home is priced on its own. The price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, how many peaks and stories the house has, and how many zones you want to control separately. We measure, plan the layout with you and give you a written quote, free. A lot of homeowners compare it with paying to have Christmas lights hung and taken down every year: permanent lights are a one-time install that works every night, for every holiday.

Can you see permanent lights during the day?

Barely. The lights sit inside a slim aluminum track mounted under the eave, and the track is powder-coated to match your trim in matte black, white, oyster white or brown. From the street, most people don’t notice it until the lights come on.

Will permanent lights hold up to Ohio and Michigan winters?

Yes. They’re built to stay outside all year. The LEDs are sealed in UV-stabilized polyurethane, every connection is a factory-sealed waterproof connector, and the system sits tucked under the eave. Toledo averages about 37 inches of snow a season, and your lights stay put through all of it.

Do you drill into my roof or shingles?

No. The track fastens to the soffit (the underside of the eave) or the fascia board, with fasteners matched to the material and set into solid backing. Nothing goes through your shingles or roof panels, so your roof and its warranty are left alone.

What colors and effects can they do?

Any color you want, plus a true warm white. Each light is RGBW: it has a dedicated warm-white LED alongside red, green and blue, so your everyday white looks like a real 2800K warm light instead of a tinted mix. Use the app’s scene presets for holidays and game days, or set your own colors and animations.

How long does installation take?

Most homes take about a day. Larger homes with long rooflines, several peaks or a second story can take a second day. Before we leave, we test every zone with you and set up the app on your phone.

Do I need HOA approval?

If you live in an HOA, check its rules before you book. We’re happy to send product photos and specs to include with your request, including the track color that matches your trim.
